Structures Division Manager Gus Llanos discusses The Gateway Expressway, the largest Design-Build Project in District 7!

The Gateway Expressway is currently the largest Design-Build project in District 7, and it is the first implementation of express lanes in the area. The project is about two years in, and things are progressing really well. Foundation construction for the 4,000 foot-long viaduct along 118 Avenue has started, girder erection for the bridges over Ulmerton Road is set to begin by the end of the month, and groundbreaking for the I-275 Roosevelt Interchange is set for the end of the year. 

It’s a really exciting time as all these enhancements begin to come together to culminate into the Gateway to the transportation future.
