Sunrise Golf Village

Civil Engineering Designer Salome Montoya discusses Sunrise Golf Village.

The Golf Village Infrastructure Improvement project is located in the City of Sunrise. It includes the development of a Basis of Design Report where we recommended and evaluated improvements. Software utilized included WaterGEMs and ICPR4. As of today, work is underway in the development of design documents. This includes upsizing the existing water mains, fire flow protection, water services, fire hydrants, and the rehabilitation of the existing force mains.

The proposed installation method will be via pipe bursting to maximize cost savings. Findings also recommended the addition of exfiltration trenches to address localized flooding within the Village. The Civil department at BCC is eager to continue servicing the City of Sunrise and its residents while improving their style of living through practical and technical solutions.
