FIU Pedestrian Bridge Contract

We’re very excited to announce that BCC will be working together with Janssen & Spaans Engineering, Inc. and Bermello Ajamil & Partners servicing FDOT District 6 and Florida International University on the Pedestrian Bridge over SR 90/SW 8 St & C-4 Canal. 👏🏻

This is a high-profile Pedestrian Signature Bridge that connects FIU South Campus to the City of Sweetwater. The project also includes Complete Street aspects as well as gathering areas for students. BCC will be providing Bridge and Highway Design, ITS, Drainage, Signing & Pavement Marking, Signalization, Lighting, Elevators, Traffic Control, Site Civil, and Building Structures.

BCC has many FIU graduates; it is rewarding that they will be contributing to this FDOT/FIU Project. Jim Wolfe, FDOT D6 Secretary says that “This is the Job of the year”. It is the most significant project in Miami that affects the Engineering community and FIU”.
