Alfred Lurigados

Alfred is a Senior Vice President at BCC Engineering where he works with the entire BCC Team with a focus on marketing, business development, and growth. Alfred has worked in the private sector for both local Miami-Dade firms and a multi-national engineering firm as well as a private equity real estate development firm with a focus on transportation projects. He also worked for close to 10 years with the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) in leadership roles such as Deputy Executive Director / Director of Engineering. Some of his career highlights include the concept development, construction, and opening of the SR 836 Extension project from the Turnpike to NW 137th Avenue, implementation of high-speed tolling lanes on the MDX system as well as SR 874 corridor reconstruction projects. He also represented MDX all over the world as part of the International Bridge Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), speaking about Florida’s SunPass system and mobility projects in Vienna, Vancouver, Chicago, and Dallas.

Alfred is a Professional Engineer with a Civil Engineering degree from Florida International University.  In 2010, Alfred was inducted into the Miami-Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame in the Transportation category and serves on the College’s Engineering and Technology Advisory Committee (EnTec).

For three years, Alfred sat on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Underline and is passionate about cycling and running safety with a focus on multimodal transportation solutions for South Florida.
