BCC is serving as the prime consultant providing engineering on-call services for the design and review of structures statewide for the FDOT Structures Design Office (SDO). This contract serves as an extension to the Department’s staff and responsibilities include the review of complex and major bridges including signature bridges, rail bridges, segmental concrete bridges, movable bridges including structural, mechanical, and electrical components, arch bridges, steel box or steel I-girder superstructures, alternative bridge superstructures, bridge substructures including the effects from ship impact and scour, cable systems, projects using innovative products or materials, and bridges with unique geotechnical conditions.
