BCC provided transportation planning services for the development of a transportation modeling framework and prototype models for each of the Regional Planning Councils (RPCs) on behalf of the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Utilizing mesoscopic modeling tools to simulate dynamic traffic assignment, an update to the clearance times for the regional planning councils was completed. Services included:

  • The review of technical documentation and model development
  • Implementation of models for three RPCs (including attendance of regional meetings, development of regional networks and modeling framework implementation).
  • Regional analysis for three RPCs, including statistical analysis, transportation analysis for base and varying emergency scenarios, and
  • Preparation of all required documentation.

Statewide Hurricane Evacuation Study & Transportation Model

BCC conducted a statewide hurricane evacuation study and developed a statewide hurricane evacuation model for each of the Regional Planning Councils (RPCs) on behalf of the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
