This project includes the reconstruction of over 8 miles of SR 75 and over a mile of four other major roadways. Additionally, the project was designed to convert two major intersections into grade-separated intersections. At the intersection of SR 30A and SR 75, a unique rotary design was implemented. The Rotary consists of a ½ mile loop road under the flyover ramps that will be used as a park/event venue. Other considerations include on-street parking, railroad coordination, avoiding the use of environmental justice and historic significance sites, and extensive public agency coordination.
This capacity reconstruction project primarily consists of widening SR 75 (US 231) from four to six lanes from south of Pipeline Road to north of Penny Road and constructing flyover ramps at SR 390/CR 2321 and at Titus Road/Star Avenue in Bay County, Florida.
