BCC Engineering Merges with Heath & Lineback

This 11-mile long, $457 million-dollar design-build project, is a critical component of South Florida’s Express Lanes Network and the centerpiece for Broward County by connecting the I-95 and I-595 Express Lanes Systems. This project will complete the I-95 Express Lanes system in the area by providing two continuous Express Lanes in each direction on I-95 and providing direction connections to/from I-95 Express and I-595 to the west via widening, milling, resurfacing, overbuild, and/or reconstruction. The project also includes the addition of four major direct-connect movements within the congested and constrained four-level interchange of I-95 and I-595. The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport to the South, the SR 84 interchange to the North, and the South Florida Rail Corridor and Pond Apple Slough to the West augment the physical constraints of the site.

Relying on our proven experience, understanding of the project, and concept enhancements through our approved Alternative Technical Concepts, BCC along with our 13 sub-consultants is once again leading the charge in designing facilities that improve the operations of the most integral portions of our public transportation infrastructure, while simultaneously creating long-term cost savings to the Florida Department of Transportation.
