22 Task Work Order assignments including bridge repairs ranging from short span bridges to long span, concrete segmental bridges. This is a Continuing services Task Work Order (TWO) based contract. The general objective of this contract is for the consultant to support the District Structures Maintenance Office in the administration of the Maintenance program. This is a 5-year continuing services contract involving technical support services including but not limited to: structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering design, maintenance of traffic, drainage and geotechnical services for minor and major repairs or rehabilitation of Category I and II bridges and ancillary structures. Services provided to support the District Structures Maintenance Office include field and office engineering and inspection services. Task assignments include routine or emergency services including structures inspection and design. The services require the implementation of simple to complex repairs and replacement of structures related components and the preparation of all construction contract documents including, but not limited to structures rehabilitation/repair plans and specifications; cost estimates and comparisons; permitting; post-design support; field reviews; shop drawings reviews and the preparation of As-Built Plans. Inspection services range the full gamut, from routine and emergency engineering evaluations and emergency response; to review of plans and specifications prepared by others; preparation and evaluation of technical reports and data; provide work program and production support; prepare drawings and specifications for incidental repairs and other technical assistance as requested by the Department. Tasks also include performing miscellaneous field inspections to evaluate overall condition and rehabilitation/repairs needs in support of the project work program activities at the request by the Department. Services also include coatings evaluation and design for recoating concrete and steel structures, and specifications development including requirements of hazardous metals in existing coating systems. Special investigations include posttension investigation, wave vulnerability, corrosion & materials durability, structure deficiencies and cost benefit analysis.
